Sage Goode: Biography
I am a teacher, priestess, writer, and healer. I also work as a facilitator and organizer of retreats and workshops. I am trained as a teacher, curriculum developer, psychic reader and practitioner of Qi Gong and Reiki.

I have taught workshops and retreats for over 30 years. For many of those years I travelled to teach in many different locations in Canada and the United States. Although I still travel, much of my work is now done through Telephone Ritual Workings. This utilizes conference calling technology and has turned out to be an amazing and powerful way of connecting through Space and Time. I am the founder and core teacher at Crossroads Mystery School.

I express who I am through my teaching, healing and writing. If you read the Crossroads Mystery School Values and Beliefs page, you’ll get a good sense of my perspective on magical work. The Course Offerings reflect my own practice and the guidance that I receive from the spirit realm.

My Life

What isn’t shown elsewhere on the site is my quiet, personal life. I live in the Cowichan Valley … a land imbued with the energies of cedar, fir and salal. A place of farms and memories; of the wild and the ancient. Surrounded by the pacific ocean and fed by the old ones who first lived here – the ancestors of the Quw'utsun (Cowichan) people. My daily practice is rooted in the work of de-colonization. I continue to work toward social justice, Indigenous resurgence, reconciliation, stewardship of local ecosystems, and community-driven alternatives to the status quo.

We are so fortunate - we eat the food that grows here – peaches, apples, pears, figs, plums and blackberries all grow on our land. And nearby there are farmers who feed us honey and milk and all kinds of vegetables. We eat wild nettles and wild salmon and feel the seasons shift with the weather and with the harvest.

Perhaps I am so obsessed with the land and the sea, and what grows here, because I spent most of my life in the city. As a child I lay on the pavement watching the clouds change and move. And as I fell asleep at night I turned the roaring sound of traffic into the deep ocean and the crashing of waves on the shore.

So, now, I delight in the lack of neighbours. And I am endlessly fascinated by the view out my back window …fields, forests and hills rising in the distance.

My home is filled with colour and texture and the chaos of diverse, creative interests. I live with my loving partner and two dynamic cats. Our daughter and son live close by, and our home is frequently filled with the blessings and inspirations of our friends. Some of their websites are listed below.
